  • Royyanna Young, MS

    Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor

    Ms. Young is a multifaceted therapist with experience providing therapy to a diverse group of clients of various ages, genders, and backgrounds. Ms. Young has assisted clients dealing with difficulties related to depression, anxiety, neurodevelopmental, and personality disorders. She enjoys working with an array of clients including teenagers and young adults. Over the years, Ms. Young has become an innovative therapist that utilizes many forms of therapeutic expression primarily through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational Cultural Theory, and Play Therapy Techniques. Ms. Young states, “For a lot of people, therapy can be a confusing and scary process. It is my job to create a therapeutic experience where new tools, insights, and honest expression of emotions can take place. I want my clients to walk away with a new perspective that can be useful within their everyday lives.

  • Damian Nwafor, PsyD

    Psychological Associate

    Dr. Nwafor completed her doctoral education in clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She considers herself a generalist clinician who employs a holistic and integrative approach to therapy. She enjoys meeting each person uniquely according to their individual needs. She loves working with adolescents, young adults, and adults from different ethnic backgrounds with a wide array of psychological presentations and life challenges. She also enjoys providing and integrating spirituality in therapy. Having lived in three different cultures, including in Nigeria, Italy, and United States, she appreciated exploring the impact of various cultural backgrounds on clients’ mental health. She values a multicultural approach that acknowledges the influence of culture on the development and expression of psychopathologies.

  • Tyquavious Kelley

    Psychology Extern

    He is currently pursuing his PhD at Howard University in the Clinical Psychology program at Howard University. He specializes in providing treatment to racial and sexual minority populations, emphasizing black sexual minority men living with HIV. He hopes to work in a diverse settings with racially diverse communities across the lifespan that experience various forms of trauma and mental health. Tyquavious has an array of mental health experiences including substance abuse treatment and working in K-8th grade schools. a clinical foundation in substance use and behavioral rehabilitation within long-term and short-term facilities and provided psychoeducational evaluations for K through 8th-grade students. As a mental health technician, he has served adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with various needs, such as self-harm and suicidal ideation, mobility assistance, and speech difficulties.

  • Lakeyia Dulcio

    Psychology Extern

    Lakeiya Dulcio has a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Brenau University. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Howard University.

    Mrs. Dulcio provides therapy from an integrative approach utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, womanism theory, and solution-focused therapy. She intentionally provides a therapeutic space that validates her client’s feelings and acknowledges the cultural implications of their concerns. Lakeiya’s goal is to work alongside clients as they gain awareness and insight while working to become their healthiest and happiest selves.

    Mrs. Dulcio welcomes clients from various backgrounds, cultures, and identities. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with concerns, including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, trauma, sexual and physical abuse, low self-esteem, and more. She has worked within private practices, collegiate and school settings, and community-based organizations.

    She has a graduate specialization in Black feminisms and the mental health of Black women and is currently becoming certified in women’s studies.

  • Aiyanna Archer, PsyD.

    Licensed Psychological Associate

    Aiyanna Archer (she/her), Psy.D. is a relational therapist who utilizes a client centered approach that includes a variety of psychodynamic and integrative therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual client. She dedicates her time with clients to identify ways in which past experiences and beliefs may contribute to present patterns, behaviors, thoughts, and feelings.

    Dr. Archer’s work as a therapist includes, but is not limited to, providing therapy for adults that may struggle with race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, identity development, adjustment/life transitions, and advocating for marginalized communities, while specifically providing adequate care and resources.

    Specifically, she specializes in being attuned to Black women who may struggle with implementing boundaries in personal, professional, and platonic relationships. Through her work, she gently assists Black women with identifying their needs, to advocate and express to those they interact with to foster healthy relationships. Her motto “process, brings awareness, leads to change” allows room for both her and the client to safely locate patterns and themes in their relationships, improve communication, and develop coping skills, all while increasing self-confidence and encouraging changed behavior. Through her specialties, she aims to utilize the therapy space to create a safe and new corrective experience that her clients can use to effectively manage worldly encounters.

  • Vanessa Anyanso

    Psychology Extern

    Vanessa Anyanso (she/her) is a Doctoral Candidate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Minnesota and a National Science Foundation Research Fellow. Ms. Anyanso identifies as a feminist and person-centered therapist and is passionate about providing culturally appropriate care for individuals with marginalized identities. She believes that each individual has the ability and drive to grow. She also acknowledges the impact that systems of oppression can play in her clients' lives while empowering them with the techniques drawn from evidence-based practices, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to make meaningful change in their lives.

    Ms. Anyanso has experience providing both group and individual therapy to clients of many different ages, genders, and ethnic backgrounds. She has assisted clients dealing with difficulties related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. Her past clinical experiences include college counseling centers, community mental health settings, and VA settings.

  • Deon Auzenne

    Psychology Extern

    Auzenne or "Z" is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Howard University, specializing in child and adolescent psychology. He enjoys working with young men, adolescents, and emerging adults. He has experience working with individuals who have severe mental health disorders.

    As an undergraduate student, Auzenne pursued research investigations into the relationship between culture and interpersonal violence. Upon graduation, he worked to develop eye-tracking video game-based interventions for preschool-aged children with autism through the University of California San Diego School of Medicine.

  • Amber Williams, MSW.

    Psychology Extern

    Amber M. Williams is a psychologist trainee interested in the plight of historically oppressed populations. Amber’s background reflects an unwavering commitment to supporting trauma survivors and advocating for underserved communities. With her unique blend of expertise in social work, psychology, and research, Amber’s goal is to continue promoting social justice, equity, and mental well-being for those that have been historically marginalized.

    While earning her MSW at the University of Southern California, she participated in research projects that aimed to improve wellness and resilience among people of color. Additionally, she piloted her own research on how negative police perceptions impact mental health in black communities. Amber is currently completing a PhD in Counseling Psychology at Howard University. Her research focuses on how the effects of racism may influence symptoms of learned helplessness.
